Hermione Patricia Hervey was born  January, 21 1924 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She spent her young years growing up on the family farm neighbouring the Sarcee Nation southwest of Calgary. As a young girl Patricia and her siblings road to the Red Deer Lake School by horseback to obtain their education. Many stories have been told at family gathering of the days in a one room, multigrade school house.
