FGC Practice Schedule

Practices for 2011 held, weather permitting on a hit and miss basis, Sundays at 10 AM in Airdrie. Remember that the weather at the practice field can be totally different than where you live. Please arrive early to help set-up and fill gopher holes. The cost is $2/dog for as many runs as you want and we will have a small concession available. Contact Louise for practice information.

Before a dog can run in competition it must be tested with another dog, of the same breed or a breed with a similar running style (preferably  not a kennel mate) and certified as running clean by a licensed judge. Hounds must be a minimum of 11 months old prior to being certified and must run a normal course of at least 600 yards in order to be certified. Certification runs are usually held prior to any trials in Alberta. The fee will be $10/dog and you must provide the hound that will run with yours (called a "bye" dog).  Time and weather permitting, we will also do certifications the Friday evening prior to our trials.

Contact Pat Ingram for Certification information.
